Project Goals

The project has four goals:
  1. Broadly disseminate project materials and findings to a variety of audiences, including the proof of concept for potential use as a statewide assessment system.

  2. Design an approach to evaluating technical adequacy, including scoring model, theory of action, and validation planning for potential use as a statewide assessment.

  3. Evaluate the usability of the PIE assessment system under natural conditions.

  4. Design, develop, administer, and evaluate the PIE assessment system based on learning pathways aligned to fifth-grade mathematics content standards.
